Need a contact form for Wordpress?

Posted by IMNR on Sunday, 24 June, 2007

You may find that I do quite a few posts about blogging. Why? Blogging is simply one of the best ways to get your message out. Small companies to large enterprises have started some sort of blogging – they realize that the search engines love it, and so do their customers.

I’ve been looking around for a good Contact Form plugin for Wordpress, and I think I finally found one. Douglas Karr has significantly modified an existing plugin and posted it at his blog, here. Spam is all but eliminated by an actual challenge-response question, that you can set in the options panel. I’ve just installed this plugin and activated it on a couple of my blogs, so we’ll have to see how well it works. It’s really easy to configure (as is most everything else in Wordpress), so if you’ve been needing a good contact form for your blog (and what business doesn’t?!?), go grab it. It’s “Donation-ware” – meaning it is free, but Doug welcomes donations.

Project Black Mask Review (quickly)

Posted by IMNR on Friday, 22 June, 2007

I’m not going to waste a lot of time with this one, gang. No doubt you’ve gotten an email with an affiliate link (I’ve gotten 19 to date) to this “Project Black Mask”, claiming to show you a method for exploiting a Google “loophole”. I’m giving it thumbs down for “long haul business” and a thumbs sideways for “quick cash”.

This doesn’t give you any method for building any kind of solid business. It is -very- black hat and promotes spamming, and in order to see any significant results you have to do a -lot- of work. I remember a product a while back called “Rob The Search Engines” – if you’ve seen that, you’ll understand where I’m coming from on Black Mask. Without going into a lot of details, you’ll need a -lot- of domains to get this going and make a decent amount of traffic.

However, I do see the potential for this giving you a lot of traffic, and potentially sales, rapidly. It isn’t for the faint of heart, though. A lot of work on the front end could be lost of Google catches on.

In other news, we found out that my daughter is going to need surgery. So, to help with the bill, I’ve put up a really cheap PLR special offer over at the Warrior Forum. Feel free to take a look Here, and thank you!

Thanks for being here. *whew*

This blog is a long time in the works. If you know the story behind it (and quite a few of you do), you’ll know it is the morphing of 3 blogs into one. Yeah, I have a “too many blogs not enough time” problem. So, here goes. I’ve got a ton of resources and experience in the internet marketing world. Most good, some bad. This blog is to share it with you. All of it.

I’m hoping you are new to internet marketing and have an open mind, and a desire to avoid pitfalls. I’m going to promise to myself that I’ll update -this- blog regularly.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m the developer of AffiliateManagerPro software” href=”http://www.manageyouraffiliates.com” target=”_blank”>AffiliateManagerPro software, a personal database program for affiliate marketers. It has been on the market for a little over 3 years. I am also a web designer and run a small design/hosting company. As far as internet marketing goes, I’ve been up, down, at the bottom of the barrel, and under the barrel. The benefit is I’ve learned a ton. Some of my mentors include Holly Mann, Willie Crawford, and John Jantsch. I’ll be sharing some posts from them here as well.

Will I promote products here? Yes. I’m not one to do blatant “because everyone else is” promotions – I would like you to make educated decisions about what you may or may not purchase, and I’ll do my best to help. I don’t like to sell things just to sell them. I’m a marketer, not a pimp. :-)

So, with that, off we go!
