Optin form formatter for WordPress

Posted by IMNR on Wednesday, 14 October, 2009

In all the WordPress work I do, I usually drop in a text object widget and include an optin form for AWeber, my autoresponder provider. This usually works well. But, today, I got word of a new plugin by MaxBlogPress called Optin Form Adder. This plugin does so much more than just let you add an optin form to your blog – no, it lets you totally customize it to make it look like it is an integral part of your website. Field, text, background picture, box width and height, it can all be customized. And best of all, the plugin is FREE. Go take a look now!

TipDrop, New Social Knowledge site

Posted by IMNR on Friday, 17 July, 2009

What happens when you combine Twitter, Digg and Wikipedia?

You get TipDrop.

Jon Leger (of the famous 7 dollar script fame) has created a new “social knowledge” website called TipDrop.com, where you share tidbits of information on “Tip Sheets”. It’s more focused than Twitter, as it is all based on useful information (not what someone had for breakfast or what their dog just did).

This has the potential of becoming a very focused information site, as you are allowed only 255 characters per tip.

Credibility is voted on – you can vote tips up or down, so hopefully Spammy posts won’t inundate the site.

Go take a look now, you’ll be addicted. http://www.TipDrop.com

P.S it’s free as of this writing, and you can share Adsense revenue.

Why Squidoo?

Posted by IMNR on Monday, 15 December, 2008

I’ve had people ask me what the deal is with Squidoo. Why create a Squidoo page? Well, take a look at this screenshot. It should be self explanatory.

I created a Lens not too long ago with a review of Traffic Drill, a site by John and Matt Rhodes. I had full intention of actually using Traffic Drill to boost this lens at least on to the first page in Google. It turns out that Squidoo did this all by itself, for the most part. I posted the lens, waited a couple of weeks, and I was number 7. Several days later, number 5. After that I briefly jumped to number 1, and now I’m sitting steady at number 3. I’m not a Squidoo expert by any means, but this clearly shows that a Squidoo lens combined with good articles with your target keywords in them can rank well in Google.

So, that is why you should Squidoo. More on this very soon…

Kevin Riley – Build A How-To Business

Posted by IMNR on Tuesday, 7 October, 2008

Too many Internet marketing books tell you the “what”, when you really need the “how”. They tell you, “You need to upload your sales page to your website.” But, they never show you the steps of actually uploading that website – they don’t show you the “how”.

Why are so many information product creators writing “what to do” books, when they should be giving you the full “here’s how you do it” information? Because it’s much easier to tell you what to do, rather than take the time to actually sit down and show you. It’s like the difference between telling someone, “You go to 336 Pine Street” and explaining to them, “You go two blocks down this street, turn left on Magnolia Avenue, go straight a half block, and it’s the yellow house on your right.”

Kevin Riley writes the kind of detailed e-books that show you exactly, step by detailed step how to do something. He never assumes knowledge. He never skips over anything. And now, he’s created a comprehensive Home Study Course that takes you every little step of the way from the very beginning all the way to having your own profitable home-based Internet business.

With his step-by-step screenshots, illustrations, and photographs, Kevin lays out a Home Study Course that anybody – of any skill level – can easily follow. He even includes a valuable ‘Set Yourself Up For Success’ guide to get you fully organized for success.

Kevin is also well known for vastly over delivering on highly under-priced products, and this Home Study Course is no exception. Go now and get it while it’s still at the ultra-low Recession Buster price.

Easy Conversion Rate Booster – Action Optin

Posted by IMNR on Monday, 25 August, 2008

I got a mailer last night about this new product from Robert Plank, and I didn’t even think twice before picking it up and installing it immediately on this blog.

Do you know what happens when someone fills out an autoresponder form on your website? Yes, of course they get put on your list, but do you know what else happens? One of two things:
1. They leave your site due to the autoresponder’s “Thank you” page;
2. A new window opens with the autoresponder’s “Thank you” page.

Either way, your viewer is getting distracted and pulled away from YOUR site because they wanted to sign up for more updates. You want your viewers to stay on your site.

Here’s how to stop punishing viewers and get those conversion rates up!

Action Optin is a new product from Robert Plank that I wish the autoresponder guys had thought of years ago. With Action Optin, when someone fills out your autoresponder form, your viewer stays on your site and the form is replaced with a message of your choosing! No more distracting “Thank you” pages. Plus, it is a breeze to install – one line of Javascript (or a plugin for Wordpress fans) is all it takes.

I installed this last night (a little before 10 PM central) and had an issue with getting it to work with Wordpress. So, I shot an email off to Robert for support. By 11 PM, after a few email exchanges and some tweaking of code, the problem was fixed and I was on my way. Gold star for support, Robert!

Action Optin works with any autoresponder form (I have AWeber), on any kind of page. It’s easy to install, easier to use, and could boost your conversion rates. Plus it doesn’t cost very much. I seriously recommend this for any and all of your sites. Go Get It!

Kevin Riley Easy Summer Cash

Posted by IMNR on Thursday, 24 July, 2008

Kevin Riley is at it again. From the man who brought you great tutorials on Camtasia, Newbie Toolkits, and countless Recipes For (name it here), comes a great new title.  “How To Turn Lazy Summer Days Into A Lifetime Of Easy Cash” is possibly the longest-titled book Kevin’s come out with in a while, but definitely worth that long title.

Kevin is a master of helping people create quick cash by creating their own products. And his writing style is straight forward and candid to the point that any one – even the newest of newbies – can comprehend and put to use.

Yes, there are other guides out there that guide you through setting up a niche marketing business, but unlike those other titles, this one does not enter the overkill zone and leave the reader scratching their head in dismay. And, as usual, Kevin stands behind his stuff with a money back guarantee.

Pick up this great guide today! I was not, and you will not, be disappointed.

XSVCash goes poof

Posted by IMNR on Thursday, 24 July, 2008

One of the nicer looking “Get Paid To” sites has gone to the great Recycle Bin in the sky. XSVCash looked to be a very promising site (ala CashCrate) with better than average payouts and good advertisers. The URL forwards to a crappy looking adult site now.

MarvaMoney and CashCrate are still alive and well, although MarvaMoney has yet to put in a user forum.

Secret Affiliate Code review

Posted by IMNR on Sunday, 22 June, 2008

SKILL LEVEL: NEWBIE TO INTERMEDIATE
RATING: EXCELLENT

I’ve bought lots of “how to do affiliate marketing” products in my lifetime. Some from relative unknowns, others from the cornerstones of affiliate marketing (such as Rosalind Gardner).

I learned about the Secret Affiliate Code on Earn1KaDay. I took a look at the sales page, and I originally thought that it was another dime-a-dozen affiliate marketing guide. So, I didn’t think twice about it.

Well, for some reason (I think it was because I kept seeing the author, Craig, post tidbits inside Earn1KaDay) I kept going back to that salespage. It looked good, and the price point was $67 – less than I’ve paid for other products. (I got it for $47 – there’s a $20 discount for the first 1000 buyers if you find the special link on the page to click). I had not read any reviews anywhere, so I was going into it with neutral opinions, just what I had learned from the sales page. With the money back guarantee, I figured I’d give it a shot.

I was presented with an OTO that I skipped. Now that I’ve gotten the product, I wish I had gotten it. I only downloaded the videos and the couple of ebooks that come with the package; I have not yet downloaded the bonus MP3 interviews with marketing greats (Willie Crawford, Eric Rockefeller, more).

The skill level required to follow along with the author is definitely fundamental – everything is explained. He takes the reader step by step through setting up affiliate promotions with tools such as Squidoo, Hubpages, Wordpress, Blogger, Wikidot, and much more. When the author says to forget any methods of affiliate marketing that you may know, he means it. This is literally a step-by-step, with plenty of screenshots and insider “fill in the gaps” information. Inside are multi-layer methods to begin domination of the search engines, and Craig explores tools and methods that I have never seen nor heard of before.

This is a very well planned out product. I honestly don’t see how anyone, regardless of their skill level, could not take this, learn it, and start finding and profiting from affiliate promotions in relatively short order.

Check out Secret Affiliate Code today (Hint: The discount is the sixth checkbox)

Matched.co.uk – good or bad?

Posted by IMNR on Saturday, 7 June, 2008

You’ve probably gotten wind of this by now. There is a site that will let you place ads on your site and they pay you up to $150 a month just to show the ad. The site is Matched.co.uk.

The offer sounds pretty good. If you have a niche site, they will match advertisers to your site and give you ad code to place on it. They’ll pay you just to place the ad code, apparently not taking into consideration any traffic, backlinks, etc. you may or may not have.

Dennis Becker at Earn1KaDay came across some information at Ripoff Report and Digital Point that might make you think twice about Matched.co.uk. Take a look and judge for yourself.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/337/ripoff0337108.htm

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=8007193

Just a caveat for those who might think this is easy money. I have not personally tried out Matched.co.uk yet. I might give it a whirl and see what I can see.

New e-cover actions for Photoshop

Posted by IMNR on Thursday, 1 November, 2007

Here are two really quick, basic ecovers I made with 2 different sets of Photoshop actions. Which one do you think is cooler?
ezine1.gif3dezine4.gif

My friend Erum Munir just released a new set of -very cool- e-cover creator action scripts for Photoshop. These are very high resolution covers (Comparison: The “old” action I used output the cover on the left – at 196×220 pixels. Erum’s action, on the right, output at 3443×3056 pixels. I had to seriously size it down for this post) – which means that these babies are suitable for printing at almost any size, and upsizing the image won’t leave it blurry like it does with the other action script.

These actions are saving me a -ton- of time, and I’m making money doing e-covers for other people too.

I managed to get a $20 discount coupon for you as well, but you NEED to HURRY as it expires on Wednesday, the 7th of November. Here’s the code: 3DOFF20DM

And here’s the link: Erum Munir’s 3DEcover Actions. You can see more previews there as well.

Happy Making $100 A Day?

Posted by IMNR on Monday, 15 October, 2007

An interesting post came up not too long ago on one of the internet marketing forums I frequent.

“Would you be happy making $100 a day”?

The answers to this question varied wildly. Some people approached ecstatic in their “YES” replies. Life could end if they made $100 a day!
Others indicated that they would not be at all content with a mere $100 a day. (These are the ones that -might- be satisfied with $100 an hour, or even a minute.)

Then, there were the ones that spoke to $100 a day being nice, but it would be a stepping stone to greater things. (GOOD answer, friends.)

Just so happens that this question came from someone I respect, Willie Crawford – and I had a hunch he was up to something.

…And I was right. Not long after that post, Willie and his “insider circle” released a wonderful ebook, simply called “20 Ways To Make $100 A Day Online”.

Of course, I bought it immediately. After reading it, I realized that Willie is slowly changing the face of the Internet Marketing world by releasing titles such as this. Here are 20 precise blueprints, from already successful entrepreneurs, outlined in this 247 page (yes, really) PDF. Not pie-in-the-sky blueprints promising millions, actual step-by-step instructions on building your own business online.

This ebook makes a lot of similar titles I’ve read look like digital trash. It has definitely made my short list of titles to keep close by.

5 stars for both short term income and long term business building.

New free report from Russell Brunson

Posted by IMNR on Wednesday, 3 October, 2007

When Russell Brunson talks, people listen.

And this time, he’s got a new report out (FREE, mind you) that goes into the depths of exploring offline methods of marketing an online business.

What do ALL internet marketing courses in the world tell you to do?
–Sign up for an autoresponder
–Create a squeeze page
–Create a series of emails
–Rinse and repeat

Russell breaks this cycle by adding a new twist to online marketing in his new, free report called, simply, The IM Myth. You’re going to like it…I stayed up late just to download and read it.

Check It Out Here – did I mention it is free?

My favorite WP plugin…

Posted by IMNR on Tuesday, 18 September, 2007

…has changed hands.

WordPress Affiliate Pro is a top-notch plugin originally developed by Catalin Ionescu. I originally got it on a special one-time deal some time ago…and fell in love with it.

In short, WordPress Affiliate Pro makes promoting affiliate programs a snap to do in WordPress. No programming, no static redirects, no nothing – it is easy to install and easier to use…plug in your keyword and the link you want it to link to, click save, and…done. It’s a snap.

It recently changed hands. It’s now run by Daniel Turner and Mark Lindsay. I like the look of the new salespage, and it would appear that the new team is going to take this further than it has been before – I’m excited to see what’s in store.

Take a look now – WordPress Affiliate Pro – you won’t regret it one bit. Cash in and make your blog make cash for you!

Protect those downloads – free!

Posted by IMNR on Friday, 14 September, 2007

For those of you who are still struggling to securely sell digital products online, and not pay hundreds of dollars for a “digital security system”, your salvation has arrived, and it is totally free.
One of the problems of setting up a minisite to sell digital products on is security. If you just use PayPal buttons, your product is wide open for sharing. Meaning, if someone buys it, they have the download link now, and can freely pass it around to anyone and everyone.

Enter PayGuardFree by Dan Moran. It secures downloadable product downloads by creating a dynamic, expiring link, as well as actually confirming that the product was paid for. While PayGuardFree isn’t as full featured as other protection systems, it costs a lot less than other protection systems – it’s free.

It’s out of the bag!

Posted by IMNR on Wednesday, 25 July, 2007

Yesterday, I mentioned something big was happening today, and it launched 20 minutes ago – and it lasts one week only.

I usually don’t like firesale promotions, but this one really caught my eye. 3 marketers who live overseas are trying to raise cash to come to Mike Filsaime’s internet marketing conference in September. So, they got together and started this firesale. 100 products – videos, ebooks, audios, software – for pennies on the dollar. Most of them with resell or master resell rights. And, I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell you about this, but there are extra bonuses as well – 40 of them. I’m pretty certain they are going to raise the price on this as the week goes on. I’ll keep you up to date here.

Check out the SendUsToUS promotion – if you have any interest in resell rights at all it is definitely worth looking at.

The 7 Figure Code. Not for Newbies.

Posted by IMNR on Tuesday, 17 July, 2007

OK, I’m sure by now you have gotten barraged with promotions from various marketers about Mike Filsaime’s 7 Figure Code. To date I’ve received probably 25 or 30 various “Buy it through MY link and I’ll give you a new car and free passes to see Transformers!” promotional emails. No thanks. First, I hate blatant promotional emails with no useful content. Second, No, I don’t want or need the product. I’m not recommending it for newcomers, either. I don’t think you need it yet. The 7 Figure Code is Mike’s new coaching product. It is a series of videos from a seminar he did on how he runs a million dollar business. This is not how to create the next great product, nor is it how to start a business from nothing. This is aimed towards an existing, established, multiple-income-stream business that wants a blueprint on how to take things to the next level by learning how to analyze sales and where to concentrate efforts. This is NOT newbie-level material. When you get to a point in your business that you meet the above criteria, spend the money then. If you are still trying to figure out how to get a product on Clickbank, save your money for more appropriate things, like an autoresponder.
I have the utmost respect for Mike Filsaime. He’s a great guy and an excellent presenter and businessman. And, the 7FC product is top notch – for the right individual.

Project Black Mask Review (quickly)

Posted by IMNR on Friday, 22 June, 2007

I’m not going to waste a lot of time with this one, gang. No doubt you’ve gotten an email with an affiliate link (I’ve gotten 19 to date) to this “Project Black Mask”, claiming to show you a method for exploiting a Google “loophole”. I’m giving it thumbs down for “long haul business” and a thumbs sideways for “quick cash”.

This doesn’t give you any method for building any kind of solid business. It is -very- black hat and promotes spamming, and in order to see any significant results you have to do a -lot- of work. I remember a product a while back called “Rob The Search Engines” – if you’ve seen that, you’ll understand where I’m coming from on Black Mask. Without going into a lot of details, you’ll need a -lot- of domains to get this going and make a decent amount of traffic.

However, I do see the potential for this giving you a lot of traffic, and potentially sales, rapidly. It isn’t for the faint of heart, though. A lot of work on the front end could be lost of Google catches on.

In other news, we found out that my daughter is going to need surgery. So, to help with the bill, I’ve put up a really cheap PLR special offer over at the Warrior Forum. Feel free to take a look Here, and thank you!
